FAQs
What golf carts does Golfcarts.com sell?
Yes. Every Whisper golf cart sold on Golfcarts.com is designed and manufactured in Tennessee by LPI, Inc., one of the largest recreational vehicle manufacturers in the country. LPI operates over 450,000 square feet of manufacturing space and is employee-owned, meaning the people building your cart have a direct stake in its quality.
Are Whisper golf carts made in the USA?
Yes. Many Whisper models are used commercially — for campus transportation, resort shuttle service, warehouse operations, security patrol, event management, and more. The Specialty Carts line is specifically designed for these applications, but standard models like the W5, W7, and Halo are also popular choices for businesses that need quiet, zero-emission transportation with passenger capacity and cargo versatility.
What does factory-direct mean and why are Golfcarts.com prices lower?
Factory-direct means the company that manufactures the cart (LPI, Inc.) also operates the retail stores that sell it — there are no independent dealers adding their own markup. This is why Golfcarts.com prices are typically thousands below the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) listed on whisperev.com. For example, a cart with an MSRP of $11,999 may be priced significantly lower on Golfcarts.com, plus you can stack additional savings with instant rebates and promotional coupons.
How much do golf carts cost on Golfcarts.com?
Whisper golf carts on Golfcarts.com start in the mid-$7,000s for the W3 (entry-level 4-seat Performance cart) and range up to approximately $15,000 for the Beast LE 4×4. Popular mid-range models like the W5 and FF4 fall in the $9,000–$10,000 range. Six-seat models (W5 XL, W7 XL, Halo XL, FF6) generally range from $11,000 to $14,500. All prices are below manufacturer MSRP because they’re sold factory-direct. Golfcarts.com also offers instant rebates (up to $1,400 off), periodic promotional coupons, and financing including 0% APR for up to 60 months when available as part of current promotions.
Does Golfcarts.com offer financing on golf carts?
Yes. Golfcarts.com offers multiple financing paths: 0% APR financing for up to 60 months (when available as part of current promotions), third-party financing through partners like Wells Fargo Outdoor Solutions, and in-house payment plans with terms up to 84 months and a 12-month same-as-cash option. In-house financing is available for buyers with good, bad, or no credit history. Cash and credit card buyers may also qualify for instant factory rebates.
Can I see golf carts in person before buying?
Absolutely. Golfcarts.com operates over 90 factory-direct retail locations across the United States. These are company-owned showrooms (not independent dealers), so pricing and the shopping experience are consistent everywhere. You can also browse and purchase online at Golfcarts.com and have your cart delivered.
Are golf carts from Golfcarts.com street legal?
Whisper golf carts are classified as off-road recreational vehicles and are not street legal by default. However, several models (including the W3 and W5) offer an available LSV (Low-Speed Vehicle) package that adds the equipment required for street-legal registration — including a VIN, reflectors, windshield wiper, and other DOT-required components. Street legality varies by state and local ordinance, so check your local regulations before driving on public roads.
Are all Golfcarts.com golf carts electric?
Yes. Every Whisper golf cart is 100% electric, powered by either a 48V lithium battery system or a 48V Interstate lead-acid battery system depending on the model (mostly lithium standard). Electric carts produce zero emissions, run quietly, and cost significantly less to operate than gas-powered alternatives. Charging time is typically 3–6 hours using the included onboard charger.
How does Whisper compare to Club Car, EZGO, or Icon golf carts?
Whisper golf carts are built in Tennessee and sold factory-direct, which means you get premium features — lithium batteries, touchscreen displays, Bluetooth audio, LED lighting, lifted chassis options — at prices significantly below what you’d pay for comparably equipped carts from Club Car, EZGO, Icon, or other brands sold through independent dealers. Whisper carts also come with modern design elements like 7-color LED undercarriage lighting, 9-inch LCD touchscreens (on select models), and heated/cooled seats (on the Halo) that many competitors charge thousands extra for or don’t offer at all.
Does Golfcarts.com sell pre-owned or used golf carts?
Yes. In addition to new Whisper carts, Golfcarts.com carries a selection of pre-owned and used golf carts. Pre-owned inventory varies by location and changes frequently. You can browse current pre-owned inventory online at golfcart-supply.com/inventory-golf-carts/ or contact your nearest store for availability.
