Where to Buy an Electric Golf Cart
Three routes lead to a cart, and each trades price against certainty in a different way.
The options
- Dealers: inspected stock, warranty, delivery and financing
- Private sales: lowest price, all the risk sits with you
- Auctions: cheap units, unknown history, usually sold as seen
Questions to ask anywhere
Age of the battery pack, whether it has been load tested, what is included with the cart, and whether any registration exists. Ask for answers in writing before paying.
Why inspection is worth paying for
The battery pack is the single expensive component, and it is the one a photograph cannot diagnose. Buying where the pack has been tested removes most of the gamble from the purchase.
