How to Winterize Your Golf Cart
Winterizing is a sequence, not a product. Do it in this order and the cart will start without complaint in spring.
The sequence
- Wash and dry the cart completely, including the underbody
- Charge the battery pack fully
- Top up distilled water on lead-acid cells
- Inflate tires to spec so flat spots do not set
- Disconnect the negative cable if storing beyond a month
Where to store it
Dry, ventilated and off bare concrete if possible — a pallet or rubber mat under the tires reduces moisture wicking and flat-spotting.
Cover choice
A breathable fitted cover, not a plastic tarp. Trapped moisture corrodes terminals and fogs any windshield you left fitted.
